Fun Meet

A Fun Meet is a competition geared towards the CanSkate or STARSkate Group level.  More emphasis is placed on having fun, seeing skaters from other clubs, and performing the skills required for the skater's level.  Skaters are entered at the skill levels at which they are competent and comfortable performing.  This is an entry-level event and is hosted by a local club once per season.  Although 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals are presented to those skaters who place, everyone receives a participation ribbon or medal, so all skaters go home with an acknowledgment of their accomplishments.

Competition

A Competition is geared towards the STARSkater level and has two streams, the Qualifying stream and the Non-Qualifying stream.  The Qualifying stream takes the skater through a series of competitive tests that prepare them for competitions that can take them eventually to national and international events.

The Non-Qualifying stream is set up  for the test skater who wishes to compete at club, interclub, or invitational events.
